Plate heat exchangers sometimes leak during use, usually in two forms, one is internal leakage and the other is external leakage.
1.Set the internal leakage
Internal leakage generally refers to pipe perforation and small floating head leakage, which cause the tube and shell-side media to cross each other. Thinning and perforation caused by tube corrosion, scouring and abrasion; loosening of the fastening bolts of the floating head cover and deterioration of the sealing gasket will cause internal leakage of the heat exchanger. After the plate heat exchanger was overhauled, the test pressure sealing gasket was not selected properly, and then the tube sheet, the large cover and the small-diameter connection are in order, because the tube wall thickness of the process connection is thinner than other parts, and the relative flow rate is higher Other parts.
